Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology Division
 The Dento-Maxillofacial Radiology Division
is a subdivision of Medical Radiology Division at the Central County Hospital and is located at the Maxillofacial Unit. It is served by a specialist consultant.
The radiological service is focused on examinations of the teeth, jaws and facial regions, as well as TMJ, sinuses, salivary glands, advanced trauma and implants. It provides services for patients referred by the
Halmstad Hospital, Maxillofacial Unit, Public Dental Health Service and general
practitioners.
Staffs use modern radiological techniques - CT (Scanning), Panoramic and other extra- and intraoral radiology to optimise radiological quality and minimise x-ray dose to the patients. Radiological examinations can be stored in a computer-based data bank for follow-up and research
purposes.
