Oral medicine   

Oral medicine deals with the association between diseases and malfunctions and concomitant changes in the oral cavity. There is an array of such changes including infections, benign tumours, malignant tumors and its precursor stages, allergic or hypersensitivity changes, oral manifestations of skin diseases and tongue lesions and others. Examination and treatment are frequently performed in close cooperation with other specialities within the medical profession.
